I managed to do a few more drawings today – not as many – only four. These are all done using ink, something I’m really enjoying using at the moment.
The first was drawn with the statue upside down on its back. I thought I’d come at it from a different angle.
This next one reminds me of the Easter Island statues – probably because it looks like they are lined up side by side.
The next is more expressionist in style and much freer. It’s also a lot darker, more me.
This next one is much more stylised. I took the statue and and transformed it into a more definte female form, but also added the spiral motif.
More to follow tomorrow.

These are really nice, Heather. My personal favorites are the top one and the bottom one. Keep them coming…

Thanks Don! My personal favourite is the top one. I'm really enjoying using ink just now. It's an unforgiving medium, but there's a great sense of atmosphere with them, and I like that you can splodge the ink about and create some great tones. I'm finding it a bit difficult to find a style and be creative with drawing though. Painting comes much easier!
These are wonderful, great movement and color.
Thank you so much Ryan. I’m trying to loosen up in my drawings and these little studies are helping, especially the ink ones. Thanks for stopping by!
The last drawing is my favorit one!
