Here are some images I’ve worked on in the past couple of days. This one is for Creative Composition. The task is to take one of the images I created for my last assessment and carry out 4 colour studies. They are: Monochromatic; Analogous; Complementary; and Translucent. This piece is a monochromatic colour study. I really like the colour and texture I’ve achieved in this piece, and it feels very icy.
This piece is a complementary colour study. It’s not the nicest colour scheme, but I wanted to try something other than using blue.
The next piece is for Contextual Studies, where I take elements of the works of Picasso and Dali and create a new piece. I used PVA glue that was stuck down the side of the glue bottle and put it on here. I also used paper towels.
This one is part of my Analytical Drawing. I will be adding various viewpoints of this object on the same page but not in a Cubist style. Rather it is to show how I got to my Cubist piece. I have used tissue paper on this piece.
It’s been snowing here for 3 weeks non-stop and temperatures have been as low as -22°C in some parts of the country and there have been snow drifts over 6ft high. Some of the snow has melted as it was only -12°C yesterday, and rose to about -5°C today although it has still been snowing on and off all day. It’s very pretty though.

Good job on your color studies. My favorite is that first one. I like the translucent quality on that one.also.
We have this kind of snow and cold here, also. I've been shoveling some to keep up. Glad to know I'm not alone!
Thankfully the ploughs have been along the street a few times clearing the snow, but it is now being rationed because there's not enough salt in storage for everyone, so they're keeping it for main roads only. You just have to get on with it!
