Bad news I’m afraid folks. My laptop adapter has died on me, so I have no access to it at the moment. I’ve been having problems with a loose wire on the adapter at the laptop end, which means the charger light has been flickering on and off, but now I’m getting nothing. I am using the main house computer but it doesn’t have all my programs on it like Photoshop, Tweetdeck, Windows Live Mail & Writer, FileZilla, etc, etc, etc. This means I can’t upload pictures as I need Photoshop, otherwise the pics will look very squinty and just pants really. I should be able to do it at college though, hopefully. I will be able to blog but just won’t be able to show my work, which is the whole point of this place really.
I am going to take my laptop into the computer shop and get the guys to have a look at it, just to make sure that the problem isn’t with the computer end where the adaptor plugs into. Just have to keep my fingers crossed. I shall report back later with news.
Quick update
I took my laptop into the shop and it does look like I need a new adaptor. Unfortunately this is going to cost me about £45. That’s money I just don’t have at the moment, so it looks like I will be computerless for a few days at least.
Another quick update
I was able to dip into some funds and have ordered an adaptor, but due to the fact that this is the run up to Christmas, the estimated delivery date is between 10th and 22nd December, so I could be a few weeks without my laptop. Oh dear. Withdrawal symptoms already.
Sorry Heather….I’ll be here when you get back to it. Could happen to any of us and we’d be gone awhile.
Thank you Leslie. As I say, I can use the main PC. I just can’t add any work here, unless I can convince my hubby to install Photoshop CS4 on it, then my problems would be solved!
