So I’ve been working on my painting a bit more today. I don’t really like where it has gone. One minute I liked it, then next I didn’t. I hate that about painting. The bottom part has turned to mud, so I’m going to leave it until tomorrow and try working that part again.
I’m also not sure about the various elements on the page. They don’t seem to sit well together. They seem disparate. I really like the top of the painting where the guitar neck stretches across the whole page, and I do like the little speaker cone and nose above it. I also like my little banana type boat but the rest is pretty out of place.
I’ll show you where I was earlier, and where I am at the moment. My hubby seems to like it, so maybe I’m just too close to it. I really want to add stuff to it to make it 3D, as I think this may be my final piece, if I can get everything to fit together. So here they are:

This is coming along, nicely, Heather.
@Leslie White
Thanks Leslie. I didn’t work on it today. Instead I did something else. I’m still trying to decide what I’m going to do with this piece.
Just had a thought. The neck of the guitar kind of cuts your piece in two. Could you connect the two sides top and bottom with a shape that sort of doesn’t eliminate the underlying neck of the guitar. A simple shape would be musical notes but could be abstraction also.I am only trying to be helpful. I like what you have, also.
Yep, I was thinking something similar this morning. I have a few ideas up my sleeve. Just need to try them out and see how it goes.
