I watched a video by Alchemy of Creation on YouTube last night, and was inspired by her to try out painting by hand. I’ve never thought of using my hands to paint, but it was great fun even if a bit messy. Funnily enough I never got any paint on my clothes!

I absolutely loved watching this, and I had to try my hand at something similar. My image is based on my My Space project, seeing as I have to do college work over the holidays. It hardly seems like work!
My painting is not complete yet as I have to wait on some of the paint drying. I laid down the initial background using oil paints mixed with water and just smeared it on with my hands. I then when over it with soft black pastels, as in the video above, and that was it really. Very simple but great fun to paint.
I will go back over it tomorrow and work further on it. Oh, and I should say that this is not a very good photo, as the light was awful. Anyway, here’s my piece:
