I forgot to add my work for the day. I’ve been working with a lot of different media lately, and I wanted to get back to my roots, so to speak. So today I did something a little more traditional, although I couldn’t resist adding some quink and bleach to the painting.
I’m still developing My Space but I’m ready to start on my final piece. I took several ideas from previous work and brought them together in one place. I hadn’t done anything with the abstract Picasso style self-portrait, and really felt that I needed to. So I took that and added various other elements from other pages of my sketchbook. It’s a nothing really, but the development stage doesn’t need perfection or anything close to perfection. It’s all about the ideas at this stage and I just need to rough sketches and paintings. So, here is the piece I created today:

Painted in acrylics, berol pen, quink and bleach

I love how it looks like the guitar is wrapped around her. And is that your foot at the bottom of the figure? Too cool.
Thanks Leslie! I was just playing around yesterday in class and this was the end result. Yeah that’s my foot at the bottom. I took the idea from a song – ‘Nails In My Feet’ by Crowded House. It’s one of my favourites
