I’ve only managed to get a quick sketch in tonight. I’ve been working on trying to get my website up and running, and I’ve had guests all evening.
I’m really excited about my website, since I’m able to customise much more, and tailor it for my own needs – I just installed a gallery on the site today, which fits perfect with the site theme. The only thing I’m disappointed about is that, although it’s a WordPress.org blog, it doesn’t show up in WordPress.com, meaning that it won’t show up in searches here. WordPress.org appears to be just a template for designing your site. I have found out, however, that I can have my traffic redirecting from WordPress.com to my website – at a cost of $10 or about £7 in real money! I think this means that I would post to WordPress.com and then the post would be redirected to my site. I need to check into it.
In the meantime, if you want to check my new site out, please let me know what you think of it, but bear in mind it’s still a work in progress.
The study I’m working on tonight is Jacopo Pontormo’s Study of Lower Part of Female Nude St Michael The Archangel (error in Anatomy Lessons from the Great Masters). I’m not sure why it’s titled nude, as it would appear that she has some clothing going from the line at the top of the legs. I’ve sketched out the rough outline and a bit of the shading, and I’ll need to do a lot more work on it, but at least I got a bit of drawing in today. I also didn’t want to spend a long time drawing as I appear to have a problem with the joints on either end of the thumb’s metacarpal. It’s been giving me some problems for over a week now, and at the wrist end there appears to be some bruising. I’ll need to have it checked out – I do hope it’s nothing to do with the amount of drawing I’ve been doing! It’s a worry.
Anyway, I hope to have the drawing completed tomorrow morning or afternoon, and I’ll post when it’s finished.
It’s great you are so committed to getting your drawing done each day. This looks like a great study – really concentrating on the legs.
I hope your hands and wrists feel better. Maybe some gentle stretches before and during your drawing sessions?
I never managed to get anything done yesterday, and felt really bad about it, so I didn’t want to go another day without drawing.
I’ve been doing lots of stretching exercises on my hands but it doesn’t seem to be making any difference. Hopefully it’s only temporary.

I visited you other website, it looks great too, like the wordpress. You are very active and effective
The wordpress site has rather long loading times, though I have a fast Inernetcces. Thats the ony thing I don’t like with wordpress. I think there are now too many things included (as in Facebook) that makes everything so slow.
I find Facebook far too slow at times. They have an excellent image uploader but it is very temperamental. Wish I could upload images as quickly to my ftp server!
Oh I’m not as busy as I probably should be. I feel ashamed when I see how busy Matt is, but then I am only human – Matt is not of this world!
I only hope he stays in good health. His output is incredible.

I don’t have another job. I was forced to leave my last job due to ill health, which I’m still having a lot of problems with but I am starting college in 2 weeks time – Art & Design.
